JAMMU, Oct 27: To discuss the issues of Pensioners’ Welfare and Banking Service Improvement, a four-member delegation representing the Central Govt Pensioners’ Welfare Association (CGPWA), Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) and J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra (SKK) today met with the Deputy General Manager (Business & Development) of State Bank of India (SBI), Jammu, Jayant Mani and other senior officials.
The interactive meeting was also attended by Ajay Kumar Kamdi, Regional Manager, RBO-2, Jammu.
The delegation comprised Kuldeep Khoda, former DGP and president, CGPWA, Ashok Bhan, former DGP and Patron, IIPA J&K Regional Branch, B R Sharma, former Chief Secretary and Chairman, IIPA J&K RB and K B Jandial, former Member, J&K PSC and president, SKK.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the SBI authorities about the functioning and activities of the three prominent non-political organizations dedicated to public welfare, including the education and skill development of over 120 hearing-handicapped Divyangjan.
Mani and Kamdi showed keen interest in these initiatives and assured to visit the institutions in the near future.
The discussions also focused on strengthening coordination between the Bank and senior citizen customers, timely redressal of pension-related grievances, and enhancing overall customer service delivery.
The Deputy General Manager appreciated the valuable suggestions offered by the former senior civil servants, lauding their continued public service engagement even after superannuation.
He reiterated SBI’s commitment to providing efficient, customer-friendly services, especially for pensioners.
Mani also accepted an invitation to deliver a lecture for Central Government Pensioners on the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) process and the banking system in SBI.
Later, the delegation visited SBI’s High Net-worth Individual (HNI) Branch and complimented the staff for extending excellent services to customers, including pensioners.
