Srinagar, Oct 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has amended the recruitment rules for engineering services, reducing the required years of gazetted service for promotions in the Public Works (R&B), Jal Shakti, and Power Development Departments.
As per S.O. 281 issued by the Lieutenant Governor, the eligibility for Chief Engineer has been reduced from 20 to 18 years, for Superintending Engineer from 17 to 15 years, and for Executive Engineer from 10 to 8 years, along with corresponding relaxation in required experience at each level.
