KATHUA, Oct 28: The IRP 19th Battalion, Kathua, today accorded a warm welcome to a group of 34 students from different Government schools, who returned after completing the Bharat Darshan Tour under the Civic Action Programme.
A statement said that accompanied by the faculty members and staff, the students of Government Higher Secondary School Jakhbar, Government Upper Primary School Sherpur, and Government Upper Primary School Badala visited Delhi, Mathura, Vrindavan, and Agra from October 24 to 28.
The contingent was received at the Battalion Headquarters today by DIG IRP Range Jammu, Vinod Kumar, along with Commandant IRP 19th Battalion Atul Sharma, Deputy CO Rajinder Singh Rahi, and other officers.
During the interaction, the DIG congratulated the students for availing the opportunity to explore different regions and appreciate India’s rich cultural heritage.
The students shared their experiences, describing the tour as a memorable and educational journey that boosted their confidence and broadened their understanding of the country’s diversity.
Later, participation certificates and chocolates were distributed among the students and staff, followed by a lunch and a group photograph.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and best wishes extended to the participants for their bright future.
