JAMMU, Oct 28: The Jammu District Roller Skating Championship, organized under the aegis of the J&K Roller Skating Association, concluded at MA Stadium, Jammu. The three-day sporting spectacle witnessed thrilling performances from over 300 skaters across various age groups.
The event featured competitions in Speed Skating (Inline and Quad), Downhill, Alpine, Inline Freestyle, and Roller/Inline Hockey. Jodhamal Public School emerged as the overall champion, securing the highest number of medals. The closing ceremony was graced by Randhir Singh (SSP) as chief guest, along with Netu Kour Bali, Dr. Deep Khare (Principal, Jodhamal Public School) and Harpreet Anand (Chairman, Jammu Sanskriti School) as guests of honour.
In Speed Skating (Inline Professional – 500m & 1000m), the first-place winners included Haneet (Below 6 yrs Girls), Pavit (8-10 yrs Boys), Samaira (8-10 yrs Girls), Tabish (10-12 yrs Boys), Puneesh (12-15 yrs Boys), Aaira (12-15 yrs Girls), Kanan (12-15 yrs Girls), Lakshyaveer (15-18 yrs Boys), Arnav (15-18 yrs Boys), and Saanch (Above 18 yrs).
In the Speed Skating (Quad Professional – 500m & 1000m) events, the gold medal winners were Haziq (Below 6 yrs Boys), Kaavish and Sehraj (6-8 yrs Boys), Anshika (6-8 yrs Girls), Vivan Gupta (8-10 yrs Boys), Kavya (8-10 yrs Girls), Gurtej (10-12 yrs Boys), Harsh (10-12 yrs Boys), Anshika (10-12 yrs Girls), Ayan (12-15 yrs Boys), Adheera (12-15 yrs Girls – two gold medals), Arshjot (15-18 yrs Boys), Udhay (15-18 yrs Boys), Sanvi (15-18 yrs Girls), and Samar (Above 18 yrs Boys).
In the special events, Rudra Arora clinched gold in the Downhill race, Nidhan Singh won gold in Alpine, and Samiksh Koul secured gold in Inline Freestyle, earning praise for their technical skill and precision.
In the Loose Bearing category, first-position winners included Anwait (Below 6 yrs Boys), Arvi (Below 6 yrs Girls), Ameen (6-8 yrs Boys), Kritanya (6-8 yrs Girls), Aayan (6-8 yrs Boys – Quad Jonex), Naqsab (6-8 yrs Girls – Quad Jonex), Siyan (8-10 yrs Boys), Sehaj (8-10 yrs Girls), Vivan (10-12 yrs Boys), Shiksha (10-12 yrs Girls), Ruhi (12-15 yrs Girls), Shivampreet (10-12 yrs Boys – Inline), Aradhya (10-12 yrs Girls – Inline), and Arnav (12-15 yrs Boys – Inline).
In Roller Hockey, the Tiny Tots team of Bhumik Singh Salathia, Ojas Pangotra, Adhyansh Abrol, Aridhman Charak, Jaiaditya Singh Charak, and Prehaan Tripathi clinched first place. Cadet Boys Samarthya Singh, Agastya Shivpuri, Kiaan Charak, Raghav Dhiman, Tej Pratap Saigal and Sidharth Singh topped their category, while Cadet Girls Kamaakshi Mahajan, Prashasti Sharma, Aadriti Sharma, Neyonika Slathia and Tvisha Sharma secured gold. Junior Boys Vinayak Bhagat, Shreyasm Pargal, Mridul Kohli, Sameer Rahi, and Daanial Butt emerged victorious. Sub-Junior Boys Team A and Senior Men teams also finished first.
In Inline Hockey, Senior Men led by Jaideep Singh won gold, while Quad Jonex winners included Saiban Singh Anand, Aades Singh Anand, and others. The Championship concluded amid applause and enthusiasm as winners were felicitated with medals and certificates.
