RAMBAN, Oct 28: At least three residential houses were destroyed in a massive fire that broke out in Trigam area of Khari Tehsil here last night.
According to official sources, the gutted houses belonged to Sajjad Ahmed Kolwagi, Abdul Gani Kolwagi and Mohammad Akbar Kolwagi-all residents of Patnallah Trigam.
After noting flames coming out from the houses, locals tried to douse the flames by pouring water but the blaze soon spread and engulfed the adjoining structures too.
After receiving information about the incident, a fire tender from Fire and Emergency Station Banihal rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control, preventing it from spreading further but by then three double-storey houses were gutted completely.
