SRINAGAR, Oct 28: BJP J&K has flayed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his recent remarks questioning BJP over Muslim representation in Rajya Sabha.
In a press conference here today, BJP spokesperson, Dr. Abhijeet Jasrotia along with Altaf Thakur, Sahil Bashir Bhat and Manzoor Bhat said that Omar Abdullah has no moral right to talk about representation as NC has only used Muslims as vote bank but never empowered them.
Dr. Jasrotia accused Omar and his family of perpetuating dynastic politics which kept J&K backward for decades.
“The Abdullah family ruled this region for generations yet failed to deliver dignity, prosperity or real empowerment to common Kashmiris,” he maintained reaffirming BJP’s ideology of inclusivity.
He further added that BJP represents every Indian Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and other communities alike.
The BJP leader questioned Omar saying what the NC has done for the Muslim youth of Kashmir, apart from delivering speeches and empty promises.
He asked Omar Abdullah to look within his own NC before raising fingers on BJP.
“BJP’s developmental agenda is empowering ordinary Muslims and marginalized sections, not political dynasties,” Jasrotia continued.
