JAMMU, Oct 28: The Inter-Zonal District Level Cricket Competition for U-19 boys concluded today at Parade Ground, Jammu, organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu.
The event was supervised by DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma. About 60 players from different zones of the district participated in the tournament. In the first quarter-final, Zone Miran Sahib scored 155 runs, powered by Harjinder Singh’s 60 off 31 balls and Gunkirat Singh’s 50 off 30 balls, while Aniket and Vansh claimed crucial wickets for Zone Satwari, which was all out for 63 runs. Danish from Miran Sahib took four wickets in two overs, giving away just 10 runs. Top scorer for Satwari was Akshat with 17 runs, while Lovish also contributed with two wickets.
The competition was being conducted by experts of the department including Sandeepan Sharma, Satpal Singh, Jagtar Singh, VikramDogra, Satika Sharma, Rajesh Choudhary, Jatinder Singh, Ajay Koul, Madan Mohan and other technical officials of the department.
