Don’t allow return of “Jungle Raj ” in Bihar again : Adityanath

SIWAN, Oct 29: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and firebrand BJP leader Yogi Adityanath today exhorted the people of Bihar to ensure the state does not become the victim of another round of “Jungle Raj” – in an allusion to the RJD’s 15-year rule.

Addressing public meetings in Siwan and Buxar in favour of NDA candidates, Adityanath said those who had ushered in an era of “Jungle Raj” in 1990 for 15 years were making lofty promises to allure the people, who should ensure they (RJD) did not get another opportunity to rule the state again.
Adityanath said their mindset had not yet changed, as the son of a dreaded criminal, who was one of those responsible for the terror in “Jungle Raj”, had been given a ticket by the RJD from the Raghunathpur seat in Siwan district.
“Two sons of a family were soaked with acid, leading to their deaths in Siwan during Jungle Raj”, the BJP leader said, adding those dark days should not be allowed to return at any cost. Criminals should be dealt with an iron hand to curb crimes, he added.
“In Uttar Pradesh, criminals are being shown the door of ‘Yamraj’ (death) and assets amassed by them through unfair means are being confiscated”, Adityanath said, adding that lands confiscated were being used for the construction of houses of the poor. Such steps helped immensely in combating crimes in Uttar Pradesh, he added.
“Both RJD and SP have been against the construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya”, the BJP leader said, adding that RJD had stopped “Rath Yatra” in Bihar to create awareness among the people for the construction of the Ram temple. Similarly, the then SP government in Uttar Pradesh had ordered firing on Ram devotees marching ahead for the construction of the Ram temple in the state, he added.
“Ram temple was constructed at Ayodhya and temple of Maa Sita would also be constructed at Sitamarhi under the regime of Narendra Modi government”, Adityanath said, adding it was the strong willpower of Prime Minister Narendra Modi which helped in removing all hurdles of the construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya.
“Our union Home Minister Amit Shah had promised to wipe out the menace of Naxalism completely in the country by March 2026”, the BJP leader said, and alleged that the Congress and RJD used to patronise Naxalites. (UNI)
