UDHAMPUR, Oct 30: Police attached immovable and movable property worth Rs 1.10 crore, approximately, belonging to a notorious drug peddler, under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act.
The attached properties include two residential houses constructed on land Khasra No. 180/162 and one Scooty bearing registration number JK14G-8025, belonging to accused Sheikh Imran, son of Sheikh Mohammad Younas, resident of Ward number 1, TCP Domail, Udhampur.
During the course of investigation in case FIR number 230/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of Police Station Udhampur, it came to light that the accused Sheikh Imran had acquired substantial assets from the proceeds of narco trade.
The Investigating Officer of the case, having reasons to believe that the said property was acquired from illicit proceeds of narcotics trafficking, attached the same under due provisions of law.
It is pertinent to mention that Udhampur Police has attached property worth Rs 8.30 crore related to NDPS cases during the current year.
