UDHAMPUR, Oct 30: A young lady was allegedly gang raped by three youth when she had gone to forest area near her house, under the jurisdiction of Police Post Round Domail in Udhampur.
Acting swiftly on complaint of the 25-year old victim, Police apprehended all the three accused who have been identified as Sunil Kumar (26), son of Ashok Kumar, Kuldeep Kumar (26), son of Krishan Lal and Kalu Kumar, son of Kuldeep Kumar; all residents of Sounthan Udhampur.
A case FIR number 377/2025, under Section 70/77/3(5)/BNS has been registered in this regard at Police Station Udhampur.
In her formal complaint to the Police, the victim said that she had gone to jungle where the three accused were hiding. The trio caught hold of her and forcefully committed raped, she alleged.
Besides arresting all the accused, Police sent the victim to District Hospital Udhampur for medical examination and further investigation into the case is going on.
