JAMMU, Nov 8: The Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu concluded the Inter-Collegiate Handball (Men & Women) Tournament 2025–26 at University Handball Court. The event witnessed intense competition, showcasing exceptional skill, teamwork and sportsmanship from student-athletes representing various affiliated colleges.
The PG Department, University of Jammu, achieved a historic double by winning both the Men’s and Women’s championships. In the thrilling Men’s final, the PG Department overcame GDC Udhampur with a scoreline of 26–21. After trailing in the first half, the team made a remarkable comeback through strategic substitutions and cohesive play to secure the title.
In the Women’s final, the PG Department continued their winning momentum, defeating GCW Udhampur by 8–4 in a well-controlled contest that highlighted their superior coordination and defense.
In the third-place matches, GDC Kunjwani defeated GCET Jammu by 10–3 in the Men’s category, while GCW Parade triumphed over GDC Akhnoor by 8–6 in the Women’s section.
