JAMMU, Nov 8: Several youth joined Pradesh Youth Congress during a brief function at party headquarters here today.
Young activists including Hussani Mubarak Chowdhary, Mohd Faizan Malik, Sameer Sudan, Mubarak Hussain Chowdhary and several others joined the Youth Congress in the presence of senior JKPCC leaders and prominent PYC leaders including State general secretary JKPYC Anirudh Sawhney, State secretary Dr Suhaib Manhas, joint secretary Harris Ali, Assembly President Jammu East Mehul Abrol, and Youth leader Showkat Malik at JKPCC headquarters, Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu.
Welcoming the new members into the party fold, Anirudh Sawhney said that the growing participation of young and aware citizens is a reflection of the people’s frustration with the current regime and its web of corruption.
“As the corruption and failures of the present dispensation come to light, especially the large-scale electoral corruption, the youth of India are realizing that only the Congress party has the moral conviction and democratic vision to restore faith in the nation’s institutions,” he said.
Sawhney added that the recent exposure by Rahul Gandhi has unveiled how a centralized operation of ‘vote chori’ has been carried out across the country, where fake votes were systematically cast to manipulate democratic outcomes. “The Election Commission’s silence and inaction have deeply disillusioned young citizens who once believed in fair and free elections. Rahul Gandhi’s revelations have reignited the movement to safeguard democracy, and the Youth Congress stands firmly with the truth and transparency he represents,” he stated.
Senior party leaders Raman Bhalla, Ravinder Sharma and Yogesh Sawhney were also present on the occasion. They welcomed new entrants into the party fold.
