RAJOURI, Nov 12: One person was killed and his wife seriously injured in a car accident in Kotranka area of Rajouri district today.
Reports said a tragic road accident occurred in Tralla Gujjaran area, involving an Alto car bearing registration number JK11- 0890. The mishap resulted in serious injuries to the couple identified as – Abdul Majeed, son of Mohd Shafi, aged 50 years, resident of Kalal Kass, and his wife Fatma Bi, aged 45 years.
Upon receiving information, local police and traffic police officials promptly reached the spot and, with the assistance of locals, shifted the injured to GMC Rajouri for medical treatment. However, doctors at GMC Rajouri declared Abdul Majeed as brought dead, while his wife is struggling for life.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary legal proceedings.
