JAMMU, Nov 15: The 3rd UTT J&K UT Table Tennis Ranking Championships 2025-26 began today with a grand opening ceremony that drew enthusiastic participation from leading paddlers across the Union Territory. The Championship was inaugurated by Rajeev Sharma, who encouraged players to compete with dedication and uphold the values of discipline and sportsmanship.
Organised by the Table Tennis Association of J&K in collaboration with Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) and the J&K Sports Council under the initiative My Youth My Pride, the championship aims to provide a strong competitive platform for emerging talent. International player Ajay Sharma highlighted that tournaments like these serve as stepping stones for aspirants preparing for national competitions and praised the collective contribution of mentors, coaches, the association and the council.
Prominent among those present were Ajay Sharma, Arshi (Manager Indoor Sports Complex), Satbir Singh, I.P Singh, Rajan Sharma, Menu Rajesh Maninder Singh, Narinder Singh, Vasu Dewan, Sheetal Gandotra, Gurvinder Singh Sasan (NIS Table Tennis Coach) & Asad Sharma (NIS table Tennis Coach).
