SAMBA, Nov 15: The Shri Ram Universal School celebrated its Annual Sports Day, “Shri Khel – 2025”, with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, teachers and parents. The programme commenced with a melodious orchestra, followed by a welcome address by Principal Sonika Mahajan. Guests were felicitated with potted plants, reflecting the school’s commitment to sustainability.
The Sports Meet was formally inaugurated by Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director of Sports, Cluster University, who opened the event with a symbolic pigeon-flying ceremony, after which the Sports Captain lit the torch. A vibrant welcome dance set the tone for the day. Students showcased their skills in Yoga, Balancing Race, Hula Hoop Run, Relay and Hurdle Races, Passing Through the Ring, Gymnastics, Martial Arts and other events. Lower primary students delighted the audience with a Dumbbell Dance, while parents joined in with a Fitness Challenge and Tug of War.
The closing ceremony was graced by Himani Jerath, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Samba, along with Sushil Singh Charak. A spirited Zumba finale preceded the vote of thanks by Headmistress Shivani Vaid, marking a proud and memorable celebration of sportsmanship and teamwork.
