POONCH, Nov 17: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Poonch district has announced a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh for any credible and actionable information about the presence or movement of terrorists or their associates in the district.
A statement said the announcement aimed at strengthening community participation in counter-terror efforts and encouraging timely reporting of the suspicious activities.
Senior police officials have assured that the identity of all the informers will be kept strictly confidential to ensure their safety.
Meanwhile, public has been urged to stay vigilant and report any form of support being extended to terrorists, including food, shelter, transport, communication, or assistance in movement, recruitment, finances, or coordination.
As per the police statement, the information can be shared on the helpline numbers of Poonch PCR (90862-53188), DySP Surankote (91030-11723), DySP Headquarters Poonch (95419-00975), and DySP Mendhar (95419-12377) respectively as also to any nearest Police Station or Police Post.
