Uttarakhand, KVS, Maharashtra shine in 69th NSG

JAMMU, Nov 17: The finals of the 69th National School Games U-19 Girls Taekwondo Championship witnessed a spectacular display of talent, determination and discipline as athletes from Uttarakhand, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Maharashtra clinched Gold in their respective categories.
The Championship is being held at the Indoor Sports Complex, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. In the U-19 Girls -40 kg category, Astha Joshi of Uttarakhand secured Gold, while Syed Karishma of Andhra Pradesh won Silver and Supriya Pal (Uttar Pradesh) and Babita Kumari (Jharkhand) shared Bronze.
The -63 kg category saw Radhika Sharma of KVS claim Gold, with Silver going to Simran of Chandigarh and Bronze shared by Sumedha Pal (West Bengal) and Vaishnavi (CBSE). In -46 kg, Siddhi Atul Bendale of Maharashtra emerged victorious, with Silver for Lakshita Malik (Haryana) and Bronze to Rajrupa Dey (West Bengal) and Sakshi Meghvanshi (Rajasthan).
The medal ceremony was graced by Sangeeta Shoinik, Principal, JNV Akhnoor, along with Harvinder Kaur and other dignitaries.
