NEW DELHI, Nov 19 : In the run-up to the union Budget 2026-27, union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, chaired the seventh Pre-Budget Consultation meeting with leading experts from the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The high-level meeting took place on Wednesday in New Delhi, reflecting the government’s commitment to inclusive policy formulation for the upcoming budget.
The consultation session brought together key stakeholders from the BFSI sector to discuss critical issues, challenges, and opportunities, aiming to shape a robust and growth-oriented financial framework. The meeting was also graced by the presence of Pankaj Chaudhary, union Minister of State for Finance, along with senior officials, including the Secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs, the Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India, and top representatives from the Department of Financial Services (DFS).
