Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Nov 19: Formally announcing Maha Abhiyan 2026 commencing on January 16 next year at the Jagti genocide survivor camp, Youth 4 Panun Kashmir (PK) today said that Maha Abhiyan will be community’s protracted struggle to take Margdarshan resolution of 1991 which calls for a separate homeland for seven lakh Kashmiri Pandits in Valley to its logical conclusion.
Talking to reporters here, today Apex Committee chairman of Youth 4 PK, Rahul Kaul, its president, Vithal Choudhary , general secretary, Digamber Raina, , organising secretary Rajesh Kachroo and Sahil Pandita coordinator urged the Indian State to engage with the displaced citizens with seriousness, urgency and Constitutional responsibility.
Reiterating the separate homeland as per the Margdarshan resolution of 1991 is the only and viable solution to problems of genocide victims of Kashmir, Rahul Kaul showed his dismay over the stoic silence maintained by successive Governments over the pressing demands of Kashmiri Pandits leading an exiled life for last 36 years outside Valley.
He said the Maha Abihiyan will be most decisive civilizational mobilisation in the 35 years of struggle of Kashmiri Hindus in exile.
He said Youth 4 PK in its movement will also seek support of Dogras of Jammu, members of Sikh community and other nationalistic people. He rejected the resettlement in camps at secluded places and warned that such a resettlement is not acceptable to the community. He said KPs are for one place settlement and that is separate homeland within Valley.
Kaul said Youth 4 PK is for consolidation of all KP organisations on this vital demand of the community and Margdarshan resolution is acceptable to all. He made it clear that “Our rehabilitation is our right and we will struggle for that’’. The community youth will take this battle to decisive phase, he added.
Vithal Choudhary president Youth 4 PK emphasised that this movement is the “United civilisational assertion of a community that has carried fire in its heart for three and a half decades.,’’ He declared that that the return of Kashmiri Hindus “must now be honourable, territorial, permanent, security assured and aligned with our collective aspirations for a Homeland –no compromise, no delay , no ambiguity’’.
Digambar Raina general secretary affirmed that every settlement from Jagti to Purkhoo, Muthi, Nagrota and in all non camp areas now speak in one voice while Rakesh Kachroo, orgnanising secretary Y4PK stated that genocide can’t be denied, negotiated or diluted. It demands recognition, justice and a concrete roadmap for return.
On the occasion Shiv Sena, Bal Thakeray J&K president, Sahni assured full support to Youth 4 PK in its struggle.
