RAMBAN, Nov 20: Police here today seized a large consignment of Pregabalin-containing capsules from the Delhivery Courier Service Centre in Banihal.
According to officials, acting on specific inputs, SHO Banihal, along with cops conducted a joint operation in coordination with the Drug Inspector Ramban and in the presence of the Executive Magistrate Banihal and seized a significant consignment of Pregabalin-containing capsules from Delhivery Courier Service Centre, Banihal.
The seizure included 915 Pregabalin Capsules having an estimated value of Rs. 27,613.40
The consignment, believed to have been booked under the name of a different individual, was confiscated on Form 16 under the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
Sources informed that investigation will be initiated to identify the source, supplier, manufacturer and the intended recipient of the illegal consignment after obtaining custody permission from the Court.
