JAMMU, Nov 21: In a significant step towards strengthening the intelligence network in Jammu and Kashmir, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) CID J&K, Nitish Kumar today inaugurated the State Intelligence Training School (SITS) at Miran Sahib area in Jammu district.
A statement said the ceremony began with a welcome address by SSP CID CI Jammu, Randheer Singh and witnessed the presence of several senior officers from CID and SIA.
It said the inauguration was attended by Additional Director SIA Tahir Bhat, SSPs Amit Gupta, Majid Malik, Girdhari Lal, Perbeet Singh, Master Popsy, DDP Kamal Sharma, CPO Anuj Gupta, Senior PO Shashi Koul and other officials who marked the occasion with their participation.
Speaking at the event, ADGP Nitish Kumar underlined the critical role of professional training in improving intelligence workflows and operational readiness.
He said the training school would act as a specialised centre for capacity building, equipping officers with advanced investigative, analytical and technological skills needed for modern intelligence operations.
The dignitaries also inspected the newly developed infrastructure, including training halls and workspaces that have been upgraded through the dedicated efforts of the staff.
The ADGP appreciated the meticulous preparation and coordination that ensured the successful establishment of the institution.
Officials said the new State Intelligence Training School will significantly enhance efficiency, professionalism and the overall capability of officers working in intelligence and security-related fields across the Union Territory.
