JAMMU, Nov 21: Laugakshi Samrasta Charitable Trust (LSCT) here today in collaboration with GHSHSS, Bohri organized a medical awareness camp under the guidance of Dr. Jyoti Hak, former HOD Gynaecology at GMC Jammu for highlighting the hygienic needs of budding girls.
Dr. Hak described the importance of personal hygiene, malnutrition, menstrual cycles and adolescent changes among girls.
Her in-depth knowledge in the field addressed all the key health issues faced by the girls and she emphasized the importance of awareness among girls as well as their parents for the behavioural changes.
The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from students, female staff members as well as the parents of the students.
The camp ended with vote of thanks by the president LSCT and Sanjay Pandita, principal of the School with a resolve to organize such camps in future also.
LSCT members thanked Dr. Jyoti Hak, Principal, students, all staff members of the school and parents for participation and for cooperation in making the camp a success.
