Yuvtarang’s 5th day shines with talent, excellence and cultural harmony

JAMMU, Nov 21: The fifth day of Yuvtarang at Cluster University of Jammu, shined with an inspiring blend of intellectual brilliance and cultural artistry, as students competed in four major events included Quiz, Indian Group Song, Classical Instrumental and Classical Vocal Solo.
The performances reflected the dynamism, confidence and creativity of the young participants, adding vibrant colours to the week-long cultural and literary festival.
In the Quiz Competition, MAM College secured the first position, while GCW Gandhi Nagar and Government SPMR College of Commerce bagged the second and third places respectively.
The event was conducted under the expert guidance of the quiz master, Dr Chinmoyee Maharana.
The Indian Group Song competition brought forth melodious and spirited performances. MAM College emerged as the winner, with GGM Science College and GCW Gandhi Nagar securing the second and third positions respectively.
In the Classical Vocal Solo category, exceptional musical talent took centre stage. Dheeraj Kumar (MAM College) claimed the top position, followed by Janvi Malhotra (GCW Gandhi Nagar) in second place. The third position resulted in a tie between Kartik Sharma (GCW Gandhi Nagar) and Vineet Raina (MAM College), showcasing an evenly matched display of skill.
In Classical Instrumental Danish Verma (MAM College) secured first position while Suhani Mehta and Renu Bala, both from GCW Gandhi Nagar, earned the second and third positions respectively.
The events were conducted under the supervision of Dr Monika Sharma, Dean Arts and Dr Ranvijay Singh, Controller of Examinations CLUJ.
The jury for the musical events comprised distinguished experts, V K Sambyal, Neeraj Verma, Jagmeet Kaur and Anupama Sharma, who evaluated the performances with keen artistic insight.
The day’s events were coordinated under the overall supervision of Prof D S Manhas, Dean Student Welfare, supported by Dr Davinder Kour, Dr Revika Arora and the cultural convenors of various colleges.
