JAMMU, Nov 23: Social and political activist Jayesh Gupta has said that the recent exposure of a terror module linked to the Delhi blasts demands a far deeper and more serious probe than routine checks of doctors’ lockers or basic records.
In a statement issued today, Gupta stated that the disturbing involvement of medical professionals from Faridabad, Kashmir and other cities has raised urgent questions and shaken public faith in a profession traditionally seen as the most trusted.
Jayesh expressed shock that doctors — including missing individuals and women professionals — are reportedly linked to the module, calling it an alarming indication of radicalization within sections of the educated community.
He further noted that several people associated with the module are still missing, pointing towards a deeply embedded network with dangerous intent. According to him, this educated group was “playing with fire,” putting countless innocent lives at risk and attempting to harm the nation from within.
He also called for periodic scrutiny of all doctors in India, including those from Jammu & Kashmir, and thorough security checks for individuals returning after studying medicine abroad before they are allowed to engage in any professional capacity.
