SAMBA, Nov 25: Continuing crackdown on illegal mining, Samba Police has seized seven dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Samba and Ghagwal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO PS Ghagwal, in charge PP, Rajpura of PS Ghagwal and in charge PP Supwal of PS Samba while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized seven dumpers bearing Registration Numbers. JK21G-5151, JK21E-5573, JK21G-6585, JK21E-2447, JK08F-1273, JK02CJ-5591 and JK02BB-7986 which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
Police said all these vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
