Dr Andrabi inaugurates Noor Khana, sanitary complex for females

SRINAGAR, Nov 26: The Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi today inaugurated newly constructed Noor Khana and sanitary complex at famous shrine of Peer Dastgir Sahib at Khanyar in Srinagar.
Both the infrastructural projects were completed by the Board within the allocated time frame.
Addressing on the occasion, Andrabi said that the work done by us during the past three years has set a higher standard for us too and public expectations have increased manifold during past some years after the Board ensured transparency and accountability with the Board.
“We don’t believe in selling sentiments, but addressing to the sentiments of the people. We are committed to create the needed infrastructure at all shrines under the management of the Board at all costs with transparency and accountability,” she said.
Dr Andrabi said that the construction of the Noor Khana here was a dream project which has now been completed by the Board and it gives immense please to all of us.
“In addition to Noor Khana, we today inaugurated a sanitary complex for females in the shrine complex which was needed a lot here. Waqf Board is continuing its developmental mission without any break throughout Jammu and Kashmir despite hurdles from those with vested interests,” she said.
Among others who graced the event included Dr Ghulam Nabi Haleem, Syed Mohammad Hussain Haqqani, Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin, Molvi Riyazul Haq, Molvi Mudassir and Qazi Mushtaq.
