JAMMU, Nov 27: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has regularised the suspension period of Junior Engineer Farooq Feroz Dar, declaring it as time spent on duty after multiple inquiries confirmed his innocence in a 2023 case.
Dar, who was arrested in November 2023 and later released when police ruled out his involvement, faced no departmental charges, with both the Jal Shakti Department and Home Department reaffirming his clean record.
A departmental review committee also cleared him of any wrongdoing, paving the way for his reinstatement in February 2025.
Officials reported that except for the days he spent in police custody, Dar continued attending office as directed.
The Government has now formally treated his absence from November 14, 2023, to February 14, 2025, as duty under service rules.
