Two narcotic smugglers arrested, 8.6 grams of heroin recovered

RAJOURI, Nov 27: Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 8.6 grams of heroin like substance from their possession, here today
The accused, identified as Amjed Ali, son of Baker Majeed, resident of Dodaj Darhal Rajouri and Munshi Khan, son of Khan Mohd, resident of Dhanore Rajouri, were intercepted by a police party of Police Station Rajouri during routine patrolling duty near Tariq Bridge.
During checking, 5.50 grams of heroin like narcotic substance was recovered from the possession of Amjed Ali while 3.10 grams of heroin like narcotics substance was recovered from the possession of Munshi Khan.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 576/2025 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri. The forward and backward linkages of the accused are being investigated to trace their associates and identify the source and destination of the contraband.
