AIKPC remembers former president HN Jattu

JAMMU, Nov 30: The All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC) today held a meeting at Om Nagar, Anand Nagar, under the chairmanship of Senior Vice President Rajinder Kilam, where members paid rich tribute to former President H N Jattu.
Speakers fondly recalled his lifelong dedication to the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community, noting that he represented their concerns at various platforms across India and remained actively engaged with both State and Central Government authorities.
A special prayer was held for eternal peace to his soul, with members observing that although his demise has created a deep void, AIKPC is committed to carrying forward his vision with renewed resolve and unity.
The organisation also reviewed its ongoing work and discussed the need to strengthen internal structure and outreach.
A membership revival and expansion drive was formally announced, with General Secretary M K Raina urging all members to enrol new participants and reconnect with old members listed in organisational records.
It was further decided that a General Convocation will be held next year to elect a new Executive Body based on the enhanced membership.
Until then, it was decided that Senior Vice President Rajinder Kilam will serve as the In-charge President as per the unanimous decision of the members.
The meeting concluded with a pledge to uphold the legacy of the late President and continue working for the welfare, honour and rights of the Kashmiri Pandit community.
