LA PAZ, Nov 30 : Russia and Bolivia have prospects for cooperation in the fertilizer sector, particularly in supplying them to Brazil, Freddy Gustavo Velasquez Robles, Bolivia’s Deputy Minister of Planning and Energy Development, told Sputnik.
“Russia is one of the largest producers of urea. We would like to cooperate with Russia in this field,” the minister said.
Bolivia produces urea as well, but the country has a neighboring huge market for export – Brazil, he said, adding that for this reason Bolivia could cooperate with Russia to meet Brazil’s needs.
Previously, the minister also said that Bolivia, together with the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom, is on the threshold of building the nuclear research and technology center in Bolivia’s El Alto, which is 85 percent complete and already producing radiopharmaceuticals.
