JAMMU, Nov 30: St. Joseph’s Convent High School, Nagrota, celebrated its 22nd Annual Day with a grand cultural event that highlighted the institution’s continued commitment to academic excellence and holistic growth.
The celebration commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the spread of knowledge, followed by a soulful prayer dance by the students. This year’s theme, “Incredible India,” showcased the country’s cultural richness through vibrant dance performances, expressive music, and a skilfully presented skit. The newly introduced Band troops added colour and energy to the spectacle.
The chief guest, Ivan Albert Pereira, Bishop and President of the Diocese of Jammu-Srinagar Education Society, graced the occasion and lauded the students’ impressive performances. He also felicitated academic toppers with certificates and awards, highlighting the importance of parental involvement and acknowledging the Catholic Diocese’s contribution to education and social service in remote regions of J&K and Ladakh.
Distinguished guests present included Shaiju Chacko, Chairman of the Diocesan Education Board; Capt. Shibu Devasia; Adv. Raman Wazir; School Manager Jose John; and Principal Vinaya Varghese. Principal Vinaya presented the annual report, while Jose John delivered the welcome address.
