BENGALURU, Dec 3: Xiaomi India on Wednesday launched the REDMI 15C 5G, a smartphone designed with a sleek aesthetic, a 17.53 cm immersive display and dependable all-day performance for users who seamlessly switch between work and entertainment.
The launch also comes at a time when Redmi has highlighted strong momentum across product categories, underscoring its commitment to delivering accessible 5G technology and premium features to Indian consumers.
Announcing the launch, Anuj Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer, Xiaomi India, said the brand has firmly established itself among the top three smartphone brands in the country.
“Numbers are important, but our primary goal is to win the hearts of consumers,” the executive said, adding that 2025 witnessed remarkable growth across smartphones, tablets and premium TVs.
Redmi’s first Made-in-India smartwatch has also gained strong traction, reflecting the brand’s broader expansion in India’s technology ecosystem.
Since its entry into India in 2014, Redmi has focused on “innovation for everyone,” beginning with mass adoption of 4G and now extending to affordable 5G. Sharma noted that the Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 segment previously lacked uncompromised 5G options until the launch of Redmi’s number series.
With the Redmi 12 series introduced in August 2023, one in five devices in this segment is now a Redmi number series phone.
Positioned as “2026 ka Big Boss,” the new REDMI 15C 5G reflects the company’s philosophy of combining connectivity, design and performance.
Sharma said, “With REDMI 15C 5G, our goal was to build a phone that feels effortless in the hands of everyday users. The combination of a big immersive display, a reliable all-day battery and a refined royale design reflects how people now watch, learn and work on their phones. Our focus is on keeping the Redmi experience reliable and built around what truly matters to our users.”
The device features a slim, polished body with a 3D quad-curved back for a balanced grip and a floating crater camera design. It comes in Moonlight Blue, Dusk Purple and Midnight Black, with the Moonlight Blue variant crafted using a dual-colour magnetic ink process.
Equipped with a 17.53 cm HD display supporting up to 120Hz AdaptiveSync, the REDMI 15C 5G offers smooth visuals for gaming, streaming and everyday use. It is powered by a 50MP AI dual camera for clear photography across bright, indoor and low-light environments.
A large 6000mAh battery provides extended usage, including up to 23 hours of video playback and 106.9 hours of music. With 33W turbo charging, the device reaches 50 per cent in 28 minutes, and 10W reverse charging offers added utility. A 33W charger is included in the box.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor, offering smooth multitasking. It supports up to 16GB RAM with memory extension and up to 1TB expandable storage. Running on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, it includes smart features such as Circle to Search with Google, built-in Google Gemini and Xiaomi interconnectivity tools like Call Sync and Shared Clipboard.
Engineered for durability, the REDMI 15C 5G includes IP64 dust and water resistance and a 200 per cent volume boost for clearer audio in noisy environments.
Add Sharma said the brand remains committed to offering premium features at accessible price points, reinforcing its mission to bring advanced technology to Indian consumers.
The REDMI 15C 5G will be available in 4GB 128GB, 6GB 128GB and 8GB 128GB variants. (UNI)
