KISHTWAR, Dec 3: A person lost his life while two others were injured when the vehicle they were onboard plunged into a gorge in Dachhan area here today.
Sources informed that the ill fated vehicle of Tata Sumo make bearing registration number JK17-2897 with three persons onboard went out of the control of the driver and rolled down near Krous Nallah in Dachhan leaving all the travellers injured.
After getting information about the accident, locals along with cops reached the spot and started rescue operation.
All the injured were retrieved from the gorge and shifted to hospital but one of them, Rizwan Farooq, 19, son of Farooq Ahmad Mingnoo, resident of Dachhan died en-route.
Other two injured were identified as Mohsin Mingnoo, 18, son of Mohd Yusuf Mingnoo, resident of Dachhan (Driver) and Musaib, 20, son of Mohd Rafiq of Dachhan.
The injured driver was referred to GMC Jammu for specialised treatment and the other injured was undergoing treatment at District Hospital Kishtwar. Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
