JAMMU, Dec 13: Sant Hare Ram Dass (SHRD) Public School celebrated its 9th Annual Day function with great enthusiasm and cultural fervor on the theme “Journey of Culture,” showcasing India’s rich heritage through vibrant performances and meaningful presentations.
The programme commenced with a guard of honour presented to the chief guest, Sham Lal Sharma (MLA), followed by a plantation ceremony. The occasion was further marked by Tilak and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
Ved Prakash Shashtri delivered the welcome address and honored the dignitaries with the presentation of saplings. The cultural journey began on a devotional note with Ganesh Vandana and Saraswati Vandana, followed by a melodious welcome song.
Students captivated the audience with a thought-provoking skit titled “Kaun Hoon Main,” reflecting self-discovery and values. Principal Narinder Singh Chib presented the Annual Report, highlighting the school’s academic achievements, co-curricular excellence, and significant milestones over the past year.
The cultural segment unfolded beautifully with a Haryanvi song, a powerful Shiv Tandav dance, soulful Qawwali, and a series of folk and regional performances that truly reflected the theme.
The prize distribution ceremony was conducted by the guest of honour, Vikram Randhawa (MLA). A socially relevant presentation titled “Operation Sindoor” left a deep impact on the audience.
Further enriching the programme were a vibrant folk dance, Punjabi song, energetic Bhangra, and inspiring addresses by the chief guest.
