UDHAMPUR, Dec 13: Department of Youth Services & Sports, Udhampur, today successfully conducted the second day of the Inter-District UT Level Cricket Tournament at multiple venues across Udhampur district, with matches proceeding smoothly in a disciplined and competitive environment.
The Day witnessed enthusiastic participation from teams representing various districts of the Union Territory, reflecting the growing interest and sporting spirit among youth.
On the occasion, District Youth Services & Sports Officer (DYSSO) Udhampur, Romesh Chander Mishra, who was also the chief guest, visited different venues and interacted with the participating players, encouraging them to display sportsmanship and dedication.
The event was further graced by ZPEO Udhampur Vijay Kumar, along with Pushpinder Kour and Jyoti Rani, who attended as guests of honour.
As per match highlights of Day 2, at Ground Number 1, Shopian defeated Samba while Kupwara registered a win over Poonch. At Ground Number 2, Doda emerged victorious against Kathua.
At Ground Number 3 (SKPA), Srinagar defeated Baramulla by five wickets in the first match, while in the second encounter Ramban posted a strong total of 170 runs and defeated Jammu by 57 runs. At Ground Number 4, Pulwama defeated Reasi in the first match, whereas Kishtwar overcame hosts Udhampur in the second match.
