SAMBA, Dec 16: Samba police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur and recovered approximately 11.06 grams heroin from his possession.
Police said a team of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur during a special naka near Shiv Nagar, Vijaypur, intercepted a motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK21E-0833 for its checking which was coming from Rakh Barotian side. During frisking, approximately 11.06 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from the possession of motorcyclist.
The drug peddler identified as Sheetal Kumar, son of Madan Lal of Kala Gate, Bari Brahmana district Samba has been arrested and the contraband item has been seized. The motorcycle has also been seized in the instant case.
A case FIR No 142/2025 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
