JAMMU, Dec 17: The final of the 6th Chinar Premier League (CPL) will be played tomorrow between WCC Lolipora and SKY Scrapers at the Country Cricket Stadium, Gharota, Jammu.
WCC Lolipora secured their spot in the final after defeating Alein Warriors by six wickets in the semifinal. Alein Warriors posted 183 runs, but WCC Lolipora successfully chased the target in the 18th over. Imran Gani was named Man of the Match for his brilliant knock of 101 runs.
In the second semifinal, SKY Scrapers triumphed over Tral Hunters by 24 runs. SKY Scrapers set a target of 172 runs and Tral Hunters were bowled out for 148. Irfan Mir, known as Lara, was named Man of the Match for his 77-run performance.
The tournament, organized by MACC Kashmir and supported by AD Caps, has received praise from CPL patron Shabir Ahmad Shah, who hopes such events will help discover and nurture cricketing talent from J&K.
