RAMBAN, Dec 18: Jammu and Kashmir BJP spokesperson, Zorawar Singh Jamwal today launched a sharp attack on the opposition INDIA bloc, accusing it of double standards and spreading misleading narratives on electoral integrity, while addressing party leaders and workers during his Pravaas in Ramban district.
District BJP president and former MLA, Neelam Langeh, DDC, Ramban, Renuka Katoch, DDC, Batote, Jagvir Dass, vice presidents, Madan Singh, Sunita Sumbria, general secretary, advocate Khajoor Singh, Mandal presidents and Morcha presidents participated in the meeting and expressed their views.
While holding detailed deliberations with party leadership on SIR, Zorawar Singh Jamwal said that the opposition has been consistently attempting to undermine democratic institutions whenever electoral outcomes do not favour them.
He specifically targeted Congress and its ally leaders including RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Prashant Kishore, AAP’s Sanjay Singh, Congress T Siddique and UBT Shiv Sena, Kishori Pednekar alleging that while opposition leaders raise questions over the credibility of the electoral process, some of their own leaders are facing scrutiny over issues related to dual voting rights and identity documents.
He termed this approach as “hypocritical” and aimed solely at confusing voters.
The BJP spokesperson, Zorawar Singh Jamwal also strongly criticised Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi for repeatedly raising allegations of “vote chori” to explain electoral defeats.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal referred to Rahul Gandhi’s recent claim from Haryana, where he alleged massive voter fraud based on a single family having 501 votes.
He said similar allegations made by Rahul Baba in Bihar were also examined by the Election Commission of India and found to be misleading and factually incorrect.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal pointed out that the ECI had thoroughly investigated these claims and clarified that large joint families do exist in certain regions and that the votes in question were legitimate.
