‘Sundays on Cycle’ marks 100 weeks in Jammu

JAMMU, Dec 21: The “Sundays on Cycle” initiative, launched by FIT India and the Sports Authority of India (SAI), completed its 100th week today with a special Sunday edition featuring bankers. The event, organized by SAI STC Jammu at MA Stadium, aimed to promote fitness, healthy living, and community participation.
Around 50 cyclists were flagged off by Rajeev Sharma, Member, J&K Sports Council. Bankers, including Kartar Singh, Manager SBI, and staff from Canara Bank, participated enthusiastically. Aman Sharma, HPD in-charge STC Jammu, distributed T-shirts and highlighted the importance of regular physical activity in preventing lifestyle diseases.
The event was supported by SAI coaches Tousheef Ahmed, Vikram Saini (Badminton), Sachin Dogra (Basketball), and KISC coaches. The programme concluded with a strong message promoting cycling as an effective, sustainable, and enjoyable way to stay fit.
