*Asks Modi Govt to act tough for minorities

JAMMU, Dec 24: Congress today held a strong protest demonstration in Jammu City over the killings of Hindus and atrocities on minorities in Bangladesh and asked Modi Govt to act tough to ensure the safety and security of minorities.

A strong protest demonstration was held at Shaheedi Chowk Jammu in which large number of senior leaders, ex-ministers, ex-legislators, prominent functionaries, DCC presidents and frontal wings participated and raised strong slogans against Bangladesh Govt.
Led by working president Raman Bhalla alongwith former Minister Mula Ram, chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Ved Mahajan (ex-MLC), Th Balbir Singh (ex-MLA), Yash Pal Kundal (ex-Minister), Rajnish Sharma (Treasurer), DCC presidents Th Manmohan Singh (Jammu Urban), Th Hari Singh Chib (Jammu Rural), Naresh Gupta (ex-MLC), TS. Tony DDC, Kanta Bhan, Vinod Sharma, Namrata Sharma, Rajesh Sadotra, Suresh Dogra, Amrit Bali, Narinder Gupta, Satish Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Sanjeev Panda, Rajveer Singh, Vijay Shastri and others, the protestors raised strong slogans, carrying play cards denouncing Bangladesh Govt for the killings and atrocities on minorities especially Hindus and strongly condemned the incidents.
Asking Modi Govt to act tough to ensure the safety and security of Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh, Raman Bhalla said that entire nation is outraged and angry over the barbaric incidents in Bangladesh. They said that country remembers Iron Lady Indira Gandhi who had taken bold decision. The entire nation is together to defeat the communal and radical forces and Modi Govt. should take appropriate action in the matter, Working President Raman Bhalla said talking to reporters.
Ravinder Sharma expressed grave concern over the emerging situation in Bangladesh and in other neighboring countries, who are turning hostile to India, which shows the failure of Modi Government’s foreign policy and demanded to review the situation.
Other prominent who participated in the protest include Varinder Manhas, Dr Kamal Singh, Rajeev Saraf, Madan Lal Chalotra, Inderjeet Kour, Bhavishya Sudan, Dewan Chand, Pawan Bhagat, Zahur Tantery, RS Randawah, Pradeep Bhalla, Latish Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Ram Magotra, Sonu Dogra, Mohinder Kumar, Vinay Sharma and others.
