JAMMU, Dec 25: The 29th Inter-District JKUT Billiards and Snooker Championship 2025–26 continued with intense action as Round 3 and pre-quarterfinal matches were played at MA Stadium Billiards Hall, organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA) in association with the J&K Sports Council.
In Round 3, Ishan Choudhary defeated Rinku by 2-1 (14-58, 61-29, 52-05), while Arjun Singh edged past Tariq Murtza by 2-1 (60-61, 53-27, 42-28). Manav Pathania overcame Wassim Raja by 2-1 (37-64, 52-38, 52-36) and Aman Sharma defeated Ishan Singh by 2-0 (50-29, 60-45). Other winners included Sunny Dogra over Saksham by 2-0 (62-27, 53-10), Rahil Bhut over Manas Gupta by 2-0 (65-40, 60-30), Kamran Majid over Manav Pathania by 2-1 (59-28, 50-61, 57-23), Rohit over Shubham by 2-0 (51-18, 47-38) and Abhishek Pathania defeating Vikrant by 2-1 (75-32, 23-47, 61-48).
Additional Round 3 results saw Amardeep beating Sanjay by 2-1 (12-44, 44-22, 55-32), Wassim Iqbal defeating Karan by 2-0 (51-25, 71-19), Vishal Abrol over Shubham by 2-1 (29-35, 53-12, 68-26), Umar Islam beating Abhishek Gupta by 2-0 (85-62, 70-54), Rahul Kumar over Nasir Husain by 2-1 (39-38, 23-61, 49-41), Zahoor defeating Ellam by 2-1 (55-32, 56-68, 52-50) and Aseem Ghai over Sachin Bamba by 2-0 (64-38, 55-17).
In pre-quarterfinals, Kamran Majid beat Sunny Dogra by 2-0 (55-47, 68-31), Rohit Choudhary defeated Rahul Kumar by 2-0 (67-24, 52-31), Rahil Bhut overcame Aseem Ghai by 2-0 (77-51, 62-18) and Umar Islam defeated Vishal Abrol by 2-0 (67-42, 69-13).
The championship continues to showcase top talent from across Jammu & Kashmir, promising more thrilling matches as the tournament progresses into the quarterfinal stage.
