AKHNOOR, Dec 25: Senior BJP leader and District Development Council (DDC) member, Pandit Suresh Sharma here today inaugurated two road projects in Block Mera Mandreya and completion of these projects will incur an expenditure of Rs. 40 lakh.
A handout stated that the Gharatal-Keri road in Gharatal Panchayat and the Kamani road in Kathar Panchayat were long-pending demands of the people which have now been fulfilled.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC member said during his tenure, he has constructed the Kathar-Gaida Khadd road, a long-pending demand of the last 20 years, which connects two districts and has facilitated easy travel for people between Jammu and Reasi districts.
“In Guda Panada, one of the most backward villages, a road project costing Rs. 15 crore is under rapid construction and will be completed by March 2026,” he maintained adding: “Additionally, the Juthal-Balsaro road, being built under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-4 at a cost of Rs. 28 crore, will connect to the Guda Panada road.”
Sharma also said that he was making every effort to ensure that no area remains deprived of good roads.
People of the area expressed gratitude toward the DDC member.
BJP leaders, Ramlal, Mandal president, Gulshan Kumar, Akshay Magotra, Parmanand, Bodhraj, Joginder Lal, Ram Ratan, Sardari Lal, Vidhi Ram, Ratan Lal, Ram Lal, Parmanand, Nanak Chand, Pawan Kumar, Prabh Dayal, departmental officials and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
