Two residential houses gutted

POONCH, Dec 27: Two residential houses of real brothers were gutted in a major fire incident at Arai Moori in Tehsil Mandi of district Poonch today.
Reports said at about 12:10 PM today, a residential house caught fire and after few minutes flames engulfed another adjoining house and both were gutted as Fire and Emergency Services vehicle was not able to reach on the spot due to congested and dilapidated road condition.

Locals in large number started extinguishing fire soon after incident but as there was not much water in the area, the fire could not be controlled. Both the three- storey houses, were totally damaged in the blaze along with belongings. The victims are Abdul Qayoom and Gulam Din, sons of Mohd Abdullah.
Locals including former elected representatives while expressing grief and anger said that the road work connecting this area was started in 2009 and if Governments are not able to complete the road in 16 years then what can we expect more from it as well as administration. Demanding road facility, enough fire tenders and water, they said that the whole village is in grief as the both brothers have done hardwork to construct their houses. The police said that cause of fire is being ascertained.
