JAMMU, Dec 28: Social and political activist Jayesh Gupta today expressed grave concern over the deteriorating security situation of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh.
While addressing a press conference, Jeyesh emphasized the urgent need for the Government of India to intervene and take concrete steps to safeguard the lives, dignity and fundamental rights of Hindus who are allegedly facing increasing persecution.
He highlighted that over the past several months there has been a sharp rise in incidents targeting Hindu minorities in Bangladesh.
“These attacks have created an atmosphere of fear, forcing many families to live under extreme distress and insecurity. The recent lynching of two individuals has deeply shocked not only the Indian Government but also the citizens of India, underscoring the seriousness of the situation,” he said.
Jayesh further appealed to the Prime Minister of India and the Defence Minister to take the matter seriously at the highest level.
