JAMMU, Dec 28: A programme was organised by the Mahila Vikas Manch of Jammu and Kashmir in which a large number of women joined the organisation.
The newly joined members were warmly welcomed by Rupali Rani, President of Mahila Vikas Manch for Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
Among those who joined the Manch were Dr Babita Salathia, Trishla Devi, Sonia Wazir, Suman Devi and Tanya Devi.
Speaking on the occasion, Rupali Rani said that more and more women are joining the Mahila Vikas Manch after being impressed by its policies and social work.
She said the organisation is working not only for the welfare of women but also actively participating in various social activities.
She added that the newly joined members will be given important responsibilities in the coming days.
Rupali Rani further said that similar programmes will be organised at the block, tehsil and district levels to connect more women with the Mahila Vikas Manch.
The women who joined the Manch said that they decided to become part of the organisation after seeing its excellent work for society and women empowerment.
Provincial President Advocate Nisha Devi, Ramzan Khan, Somnath and other members were also present on the occasion.
