29JAMMU, Dec 28: Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I (RPFC-I) and Chief Learning Officer, PDUNASS, Gandhinagar, Rizwan Uddin, was at the centre of two important academic engagements held in Gandhinagar, focusing on motivation, goal setting and capacity building of Government officers.
Rizwan Uddin interacted with postgraduate students of the National Institute of Design (NID), Gandhinagar during a special session on “Motivation Through Goal Setting.” The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and raising questions on success, failure, challenging goals and ways to achieve them.
The role of discipline, willpower, positive attitude, belief and consistency in achieving goals was highlighted. The session was facilitated by Dr Bhavin Kothari of NID. Rizwan Uddin encouraged the students to work sincerely towards their personal and professional goals.
Earlier, Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar, in association with Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya National Academy of Social Security (PDUNASS), organized a four-week Induction Training Programme for the sixth batch of Enforcement Officers/ Account Officers of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Union Ministry of Labour and Employment.
The training programme began on December 1, with 62 officers participating. A total of 81 sessions were conducted over 121.5 hours by 26 resource persons, including senior EPFO officers. The programme covered key subjects such as criminal and civil laws, constitutional provisions, principles of natural justice, labour laws and new labour codes, POSH Act, cyber laws, contract law, quasi-judicial functioning, procurement management, rajbhasha, professional etiquette and personal grooming.
During the valedictory session, Rizwan Uddin addressed the officers and explained the responsibilities of principal employers towards contractual employees with reference to landmark court judgments. He stressed the need for customer-centric service delivery, decisive action and professional conduct, and urged the officers to apply their learning in the national interest while serving in EPFO.
