JAMMU, Dec 28: Shree Sanatan Dharam Sabha Jammu & Kashmir today passed three major resolutions seeking prevention of misuse of Shrine Board funds, recall of coins featuring Mata Vaishno Devi and protection of minorities in Bangladesh.
These resolutions were unanimously passed during a meeting of the Provincial Executive of the Sanatan Dharam Sabha, held here today at Geeta Mandir, Parade and presided over by State President of the Sabha, Parshotam Dadhichi.
The Sabha demanded the immediate recall of Rs 5 and Rs 10 coins bearing the image or symbol of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. The resolution stated that these coins are often used at places like liquor and meat shops or fall onto the ground and come into contact with dirt, hurting the religious sentiments of millions of Hindus. The Sabha urged for a phased withdrawal of these coins and requested that no coins featuring deities or holy shrines be issued in the future.
The second resolution expressed grave concern over the alleged misuse of temple property and offerings. The Sabha alleged that Hindu students and the local community are being neglected in the medical colleges and other institutions run by the Shrine Board. The Sabha clarified that funds offered by Sanatani Hindus should primarily be used for the welfare of the Hindu community. In this context, the Sabha announced its full support for the movement led by the ‘Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sangharsh Samiti.’
The third resolution strongly condemned the recent incidents of genocide, sexual violence, and looting of property against Hindus in Bangladesh. The Sabha requested the Government of India to lodge a strong protest on international platforms and initiate diplomatic efforts to designate Bangladesh as a ‘Killer of Minorities’ and a ‘Terrorist Nation.’
In the concluding session, Parshotam Dadhichi interacted with the workers regarding the upcoming year 2026. He stated that these resolutions would be forwarded to the relevant ministries shortly.
The meeting was attended by Parbhat Singh (Working President), Arun Gupta (Vice President), Sanjay Gupta (General Secretary), Atma Ram Sagar (Secretary), Subhash Sharma (Secretary), Anil Magotra (Treasurer), Dalip (Media Secretary), Vijay (Office Secretary) and others.
