New Delhi, Dec 30: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment, posting and in-situ upgradation of 40 senior officers to key positions across various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India, according to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
As per the notification issued by the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, several IAS, IPS, IRS and other senior service officers have been appointed as Special Secretaries, Additional Secretaries, Directors General and Chairpersons by upgrading vacant posts wherever required.
Key Appointments Approved by ACC includes, Shri Suchindra Misra (IDAS:1992) appointed as Special Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Shri Dilip Kumar (IAS, PB:1995) appointed as Director General (Training), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. Shri Shyamal Misra (IAS, HY:1996) appointed as Administrator, Digital Bharat Nidhi, Department of Telecommunications. Ms. Aneeta C. Meshram (IAS, UP:1996) appointed as Additional Secretary, President’s Secretariat. Shri Lav Aggarwal (IAS, AP:1996) appointed as Director General, Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
Ms. Caralyn Khongwar Deshmukh (IAS, MP:1996) appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development. Shri Rakesh Gupta (IAS, HY:1997) appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare. Ms. Sonal Mishra (IAS, GJ:1997) appointed as Chief Labour Commissioner (Central). Shri Rabindra Kumar Agarwal (IAS, KL:1997) appointed as Chairman & Managing Director, Food Corporation of India. Shri Srikant Nagulapalli (IAS, AP:1998) appointed as Director General of Hydrocarbons. Shri Ashutosh Agnihotri (IAS, AM:1999) appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change. Shri Solomon Arokiaraj (IAS, AP:2000) appointed as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat. In-Situ Upgradation to Special Secretary Level. Shri Asit Gopal (IFoS, MP:1990) upgraded as Special Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Textiles. Shri Ramesh Krishnamurthi (IRS-IT:1992) upgraded as Central Provident Fund Commissioner in the rank of Secretary.
