SRINAGAR, Jan 1: Four Kashmiri officers have been promoted to the rank of Joint Commissioners of Income Tax by the Ministry of Finance.

The officers include Gulzarin Akhtar, Noor-ud-Din, Shakil Ahmad Ganie and Syed Junaid Aadil.
Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue Central Board of Direct Taxes in an order said, “The President is pleased to appoint following officers to the grade of Joint Commissioner of Income Tax (JCIT)”
Across the country at least over 266 officers of Indian Revenue Service were promoted on the last day year 2025.
On promotion, officers shall continue to hold the charge of the post, which they were holding before promotion, till their formal posting.
