Rajasthan, Assam clinch titles in 17th Junior National Roll Ball C’ship

JAMMU, Jan 1: Rajasthan in the Boys section and Assam in the Girls section lifted the Champions’ trophies in the 17th Junior National Roll Ball Championship, which was held at MA Stadium, Jammu, from December 29 to January 1, 2026. Maharashtra men’s and women’s teams secured third position in their respective categories.
The closing ceremony of the championship was held today at MA Stadium. Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, J&K Sports Council, was the chief guest and distributed medals and trophies to the winners and runners-up. Raju Dhabade, President, Roll Ball Federation of India and Pratap Pagar, Secretary General, Roll Ball Federation of India, were the guests of honour.
In the Women’s category, Assam secured first place, followed by Tamil Nadu at second and Maharashtra at third position. In the Men’s category, Rajasthan emerged champions, while Uttar Pradesh finished runners-up and Maharashtra claimed third place.
Siya Sankholiya of Assam (Girls) and Jonathan Advard of Kerala (Boys) were declared best players of the tournament and were awarded cash prizes. Roll Ball international players from J&K UT, including Hiteshwar Singh, Suvidha Sareen, Utkarsh Gupta and Antriksh Gupta, were also honoured with cash awards.
